Please note: This kit comes with a 90 degree threaded cable fitting for the top of the carburetor and for this reason the fitting and rubber boot on the top of the carburetor does not come with the kit. The Mikuni TM38 Non-Pump type TM Flat slide carburetor for your Yamaha SR TT or XT 500 is a step up in performance over the VM Round slide Mikuni options where the cost of a TM Pumper carb can't be justified for whatever reason. These have for decades been the economical replacement carb of choice for Honda XR600 and XR650 riders who have worn out their OEM carbs or are just over some of their inherent problems. All this means getting the full enjoyment out of your motorcycle has never been so easy, say goodbye to hard starting, hesitations and flat spots. The kit comes with a new rubber engine mounting flange to move the carb closer to the cylinder head plus a 1/4 turn quick action throttle and a nylon lined cable with a 90-degree lower fitting for the tight clearance on some models. There are jets provided that must be changed as well as spares for fine tuning. Climate, altitude, and fuel density from different octane fuels all have varying effects on final fine tuning as does cam, exhaust and cylinder head porting etc. For this reason, we have included what we have found to be a range of jets to allow you to tune to most variables.
