Please positively match your air-filter inlet side diameter as listed below or advise if you do not want the sleeve fitted where the carb measures 50mm diameter for using with a POD filter. Later model Honda XR250L with the Steel gas tank, also XR250R electric start and Baja with TPS disconnected, or other models fitted with a CV carb (vacuum operated slide) which measures measures. This Carb comes with a 54mm sleeve fitted where your air-box inlet will easily clamp down 1mm onto it. Going fast has never been so easy. These carburetors have for a long time now been the popular carb of choice to fit to any 250cc or 300cc engine with allowable space, where chasing optimum increases in performance and power along with general smooth throttle response and ride-ability.

With the nothing short of outstanding results when fitted to the Honda XR250, this is a simple ready to bolt on kit. These Mikuni carburetors are suitably sized and easily fitted to the later model Honda XR250's using the CV carburetor where it matches the air box and intake manifold flange using the silver anodized air-box adapter and stock engine outlet spigot size. The kit also comes with throttle cables and a 1/4 turn quick action throttle as the Honda cables have a non-matching inner wire length. There are jets provided that may require fitting if your engine does run a little rich but usually its just bolt on and go.

Climate, altitude and fuel density from different octane fuels all have varying effects on final fine tuning as does cam, exhaust and cylinder head porting etc. For this reason we strongly suggest checking the tune as per the supplied instructions to maybe even get more performance than initially experienced. This kit includes an silver anodized air-box adapter fitted to the carb, a pair of cables and quick action throttle, a pilot and main jet for tuning.
